Partial Telecommute Marketing/Admin Assistant
Mannassas VA
I'm desperately seeking experienced assistant to help me manage the administrative functions of a marketing company (www.z3strategy.com), a dessert company (www.aspoonfulofsin.com) and my life. This is a temp to perm assignment. The better you are at taking over projects, following up on tasks, managing my schedule, coordinating with our staff, handling client correspondence, managing customer service issues, calling vendors, calling clients, fulfilling orders (for dessert company), arranging my travel plans, overseeing my calendar, and making my problems go away, the more hours you'll work, the more I'll depend on you and the more money you will make. Plus you will have a lot of fun (most of the time) and learn a lot about marketing, sales, company operations, and how to run a business.
I will give you fun assignments and shit jobs. You'll be asked to handle personal tasks as well as business tasks, so don't apply if you have a problem being a personal assistant too. I need someone who is detail oriented, and very internet savvy. You should have a polished, professional manner on the phone or in person. You must be very good with WORD, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
In a perfect world, you would love small business, read a lot, be insatiably curious, want to learn new things all the time, and have the patience of a saint. If you saw "The Devil Wears Prada", I'm Merryl Streep except I can't afford Prada, I'm not as skinny and I'm nicer. But I do have a tendency to throw 35 tasks at someone at once, usually early in the morning when my mind is going 200 miles an hour. Then I will assume you are taking care of everything and get annoyed when I follow up a week later and find out you forgot. I never yell, by the way.
I need someone close to Manassas, who is willing to work out of our office in Old Town Manassas, attend meetings with me when necessary (around the beltway), but also work from home. I'm flexible and a strong proponent of telecommuting so you'll find that I'm pretty flexible about where the work gets done, as long as it gets done and I'm able to meet with you when I need you.
Zephyr Strategy (the marketing firm) is comprised of incredibly dynamic, extremely motivated and wonderfully intelligent people. I'm privileged to be able to work with this team every day. If you apply for this job, after reviewing your resume I will ask you to talk to several other members of our team. I don't want drama and we've got a great atmosphere in the company. So I want to make sure there will continue to be synergy and harmony on the team with any new addition.
To start, I expect this job to take about 3 days a week. But I've never had an assistant like this before, so I'm not sure. That is why the job is temp to perm, and it is part time by the hour for now.
Please submit your resume and a short note explaining why you are perfect for this job. I can't wait to find you!
- Location: Manassas, VA
- Compensation: $25 per hour
