Work from Home J2EE Software Developer

Primary skills: The assigned individuals will provide Improvement Interactive with software design skills and must be fast, self-motivated, disciplined, organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science or Associate degree in a computer-related field. Experience with and extensive knowledge of J2EE, DB2 and AJAX is a MUST. Experience with SQL and of JavaScript with experience in object-oriented programming is required. Experience with Unified Modeling Language diagrams is required.

Preferred skills: proven listening, verbal and written communication; ability to succeed in a changing environment; proven track record working independently and within a team and ability to present information and process feedback. Knowledge of Process Capability Models, Software Estimating Tools and Techniques and Software Engineering Methodologies is a plus! Candidates must possess the necessary skills to understand and follow procedure and process as provided.

Job Description

* Working with a variety of web based business applications and technologies to develop, modify, test, and document simple to complex applications.

* Updating existing programs to support enhanced capabilities or maintain the functional operation of a production system.

* Designing, writing, and executing unit test plans.

* Developing knowledge of the operating environment, programming standards, and system structures and specifications. Adhering to standards and suggesting opportunities for improvement.

* Providing regular status updates and ensuring that deadlines and specification requirements are met.
