UBO is large online company based in NY STATE with websites in Europe. We sell quality designer brand name clothing. We are looking for qualified candidates to write copy for our English website. You will be responsible for writing and creating the layout for our weekly newsletter , text for general website content, writing garment descriptions and uploading new photo’s to the website, also ensuring the use of proper syntax thru out the website.

Writing text for the garment description REQUIRES that you have a background in fashion, textile design, or journalism. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU ARE AWARE OF FABRIC TYPES, CONTENT, AND THE REASON FOR VARIOUS USES OF DIFFERENT FIBERS. You must also be well versed in the language of current body styles, popular silhouettes, garment fit and details. It is your responsibility to get the customer excited about the garment and its quality. Once the copy is written the description and photo will be uploaded by you. This portion of the position is to be done at our office in Washingtonville, NY. and is conveniently located on the off of the MTA train line.

In order to create the newsletter you must have experience in Photoshop or Illustrator. This is sent out once a week and can be done from home.

Payment for newsletters text and layout is a flat rate of $120. Payment for copy writing and uploading photos is $2.50 per garment description. This averages out to $15-20 per hour. You can expect 70-150 descriptions twice a month. This portion will need to be done in our home office. Payment for any additional work, which includes writing general website content and the review of syntax on the current website, will be $20.00 per hour. This can also be done from home.
