Partial Telecommute Interaction/Graphic Designer

We're looking for new talent to join the ranks of our User Experience (UX) team. Members of Sparkart's UX team are equal parts designer and front-end developer. This combination allows us to consistently raise the bar for design on the web. If you're an amazing designer but don't have any development skills yet, keep reading as we're open to teaching you what you need to know.

As an Interaction Designer, you would be responsible for:

- Collaboratively designing new sites

- Building the sites you design with web standards-based development techniques

- Making updates and feature additions to existing sites

- Designing intuitive interfaces via wireframes and HTML prototyping

- Creating templates for and sending out HTML-based e-mail updates

- Helping to define the standards that set a baseline for quality experiences on our sites

YOU:

- Ideally have experience working with lifestyle brands through advertising, editorial design, broadcast, gaming, or related areas

- Demonstrate strong ability in typography, layout, and color with comfort in a range of styles

- Love the web, particularly social-enabled sites like Facebook, Flickr, Last.fm, Virb, Wikipedia, etc.

- Enjoy a fast-paced environment that provides regular challenges and variety in projects

- Live in the San Francisco Bay Area, or are willing to relocate within 6 months

- Working offsite anywhere on the West Coast may also be considered
