Home Based PHP/MySQL Developer

Seeking a motivated web developer as an independent contractor who will be working from home. Initial project tasks will include debugging existing software, databases and development of web applications. Need person available to dig in and clean up some code and develop new applications. This position could become long term.

Responsibilities:

Debugging existing software

• Design and develop web applications

• Perform general QA and testing of web applications

• Help set-up and maintain development, test and production environments

Required Skills/Experience:

• Proficient in PHP, HTML and MySQL

• Must write efficient code with documentation

• Can read code written by others

• Has experience debugging code

• Can write code from verbal instructions

• Self-directed, proactive, motivated, and creative

• Organized, detail- and process-oriented, with excellent judgment and prioritization skills

• Able to work independently with direction

• A self-learner who keeps abreast of ongoing developments with applicable tools and technologies
