Telecommute Designer

We are a group of public health professionals that work with medical providers and their office-based teams across New York City. Our expertise lies in behavior change communication around chronic disease care in ambulatory (out-patient) settings.

We are seeking to hire a freelance designer or a small design team on a contract basis to help us develop compelling messaging and design elements for several of our projects.

While we would like to develop an overall brand identity for our team’s work, we also need to develop discrete design components such as:

- PPT templates

- Brochures

- Graphics and layout for print training materials

- Graphics and layout for email blasts

- Labels for CDs, print materials, etc. produced by our team

Initially we are looking primarily at print media; there is potential for more web-based work in the future.

Requirements:

- A portfolio that demonstrates your design orientation and skills.

- Fluency in standard design software packages

- Strong client servicing orientation. We know what we want; we need you to interpret our needs and produce media that convey our intention in creative visuals and language.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- High degree of professionalism and independent work style.

- Previous work in health care is not essential; but you must convince us that you understand our messaging needs and our audience.
