Work from Home Copywriter

Arlington Health Care  (Elgin, Illinois) is a successful physician recruiting and health care consulting firm. With the expansion of our company, we are looking for a seasoned copywriter to work on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of health care jargon, primarily with physicians and industry practices and also have the ability to creatively translate for consumer and client appeal.

Our chosen copywriter will play a significant role with our new marketing campaign. He or she will work closely with the Director and Marketing to help promote new services lines, along with writing the content for multiple websites, corporate collateral, and sell copy for B2B and B2C marketing materials. This writer will also be asked to work closely with our executive team to write and edit business proposals and health care assessments performed by our company.

This is a freelance opportunity and does not require the writer to work in our office, but he or she will be asked to attend weekly internal marketing and executive meetings – once or twice a week, 2-hour timeframes. Arlington Health Care will commit to a 3-month contract guaranteeing 20 hours per week. Depending on the projects, there is the potential to work up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Writing or related field required

5+ years of writing experience / health care background preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology is essential

Thorough understanding of marketing copywriting principals

Strong command of the English language and strong proofreading and editing skills are required

Must have an attention for detail with proven success in project management

Must submit writing samples along with resume (resumes without writing samples will not be reviewed or accepted)
