Home Based Applications Developer

Individual in this position will be responsible for working with a small team of creative software engineers improving existing software and developing new applications built around mobile communications. Experience in high volume, highly available server systems and a firm understanding of the intricacies of mobile data networks is ideal.*

Responsibilities Include:

# Design, implement, and test client applications/features in J2ME, Blackberry, and BREW.

# Actively participate in porting applications to new devices.

# Work closely with product management and users to understand product requirements, and with server-side colleagues to develop optimum network aware products.

Position Requirements:

# BS in Computer Science and 5+ years of relevant programming experience.

# 2 years recent experience developing advanced, network-aware applications on mobile devices using J2ME. Experience with Blackberry, BREW, Symbian, Palm, or Windows Mobile desired.

# Experience with JSR75, JSR120, JSR135, JSR172, JSR205 desired.

# Experience with developing across a wide array of mobile devices. Must understand differences in mobile platform implementation.

# Experience with deploying production mobile applications on a major carrier.

# Must have exposure to the delivery of successful client/server applications through the full product lifecycle.

# Must be conversant with, and have completed projects in at least three different programming languages.

# Practical experience with mobile markup languages such as XHTML/CHTML/WAP, along with a good dose of server side development.
