We have several large web sites, both live and in development. Our sites receive millions of hits per month, require 100% uptime, and have massive full-text and PDF databases behind them, running into the multi-terabyte range, across hundreds of servers.

We are in immediate need of strong PHP developers to add additional functionality to web sites under construction. As a developer at Sumobrain, you will work on a team that will analyze, design, and implement new features and maintain existing features on web sites that will serve millions of page views per month.

Experience in the following is needed:

** PHP5

** HTML

** CSS

Experience in the following is desired:

** Symfony (or related MVC framework experience

** Propel

** Strong knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues

** PHP Unit testing

** HTML Unit testing

** Mod_rewrite

** Linux

** XML

Due to the size, complexity, and uptime requirements of our sites, our developers are presented with challenging problems requiring well-designed, well-coded, and well-tested solutions on a daily basis.

Telecommuting opportunities are available, but at least one to two days in the office will be required for meetings.
