Job Title: Software Engineer/Developer

Department: Research & Development

Reports to: VP, Strategy

Contract to Hire

Description:

W2, or 1099 contracting expecting to convert to FTE in 30-60 days.

Help us port our current Email Search & Archiving products to the .Net Platform. This will require coding and testing of the current product as well as the evolving platform products. The contract period will be 30 to 60 days in order for us to evaluate the individuals ability to work with our existing team and accomplish specific goals.

Telecommuting will be allowed after the contract period is completed, based on Company rules. This position will entail a significant amount of time converting existing code from VB/C++/C to VB.Net/C# and creating new code for the .Net platform.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

A minimum of 6 years experience with each skill is required:

.Net platform experience - development and troubleshooting/testing issues required.

A solid understand of MS Exchange Server and email technology required, for development and troubleshooting.

Sql Server and Oracle database experience required as the archived email will reside on these servers subject to advanced search techniques.

Database performance and scripting experience is required.

Languages used will be: VB.Net, C#, C, C++, and VB.

The successful individual will be required to work well within a team environment as well as operate on their own solving problems and issues and reporting progress to team lead or management.

A creative and resourceful problem solver who can code & test successful solutions for real world business tasks

Educational Requirements:

* Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required
