Telecommute Senior Java Developer

We have several large web sites, both live and in development. Our sites receive millions of hits per month, require 100% uptime, and have massive full-text and PDF databases behind them, running into the multi-terabyte range, across hundreds of servers.

We are in immediate need of strong java developers to support the back-end infrastructure of our existing and new web sites. As a developer at Sumobrain, you will work on a team that will analyze, design, and implement new features in support of web sites that serve millions of page views per month. Features include full text search, data collection activities and integrating with many open source APIs.

Experience in the following is needed:

** Strong java skills

** Integrating with multiple open source APIs

** Familiarity with distributed systems

** Strong SQL skills (MySql is a plus)

Experience in the following is desired:

** Hibernate

** Ibatis

** Unit/Regression testing

** Linux

** XML

Due to the size, complexity, and uptime requirements of our sites, our developers are presented with challenging problems requiring well-designed, well-coded, and well-tested solutions on a daily basis.

Telecommuting opportunities are available, but at least one to two days in the office will be required for meetings.
