Position Type: Contractor

Hours: up to 5 hours/week or 20 hours/month

Location: Denver/Boulder area, Colorado – telecommuting position

Compensation: $10-12/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Capital Sisters International has been contracted to provide management assistance to the International Alliance for Women’s Microenterprise Program (TIAW). TIAW’s mission is to promote economic advancement of women around the world. Additional information about TIAW is available at www.tiaw.org. TIAW’s Microenterprise Program promotes micro lending for the world’s poorest women entrepreneurs by funding village banks that are operated by reputable microfinance institutions and by supporting the microfinance industry worldwide.

We are looking for a skilled administrator who enjoys working independently, outside the office environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Village Bank Program Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of tasks, which may include (but are not limited to):

-- Drafting promotional articles for use in the TIAW newsletter and other publications

-- Running errands in the Denver/Boulder area

-- Providing all requested assistance to support TIAW grant applications

-- Scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes

-- Assisting in preparation for fundraisers, special events, conferences and workshops

-- Assisting with budget preparation

-- Compiling invoices

-- Performing other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator and Program Director, as needed

Qualifications:

-- Previous administrative experience required

-- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; ability to perform desktop publishing and simple accounting functions

-- Must have use of a car and a valid driver’s license to attend to business in the Denver/Boulder area

-- Flexibility to work outside the office environment and to work inconsistent hours each month

-- High level of organizational and interpersonal skills

-- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-- Fluency in English
