Home Based PHP Developer

Castfire is hiring PHP Developers to join our team. The candidate will participate in all phases of the software development cycle: from product definition and design through implementation, debugging, and testing. You will work collaboratively with other engineers and must be willing to take on any technical tasks that contribute to the goals of the team and the company. The ideal candidate can communicate clearly and effectively with other developers and customers. You must be self-directed and well-organized, as well as passionate about your work.

You will need to be able to communicate well through e-mail, IM and on the phone, as you will be working with other team members throughout the US. Your ability to take responsibility for your work and the product is a key factor for success.

* Experience with the full LAMP stack

* Experience with MySQL and an understanding of database architecture

* Experience with JavaScript/AJAX

* Experience with memcached, MogileFS

* Ability to deliver clean and maintainable code

* Self-driven and highly motivated to work both independently and with a small team

* Excellent communication skills and passion for technology

* Experience in shelling scripting languages a plus

* Experience in audio and video distribution a plus

* And an understanding of the Web 2.0 development standards (whatever that means ;)
