Virtual Tech Support/Junior Programmer

Position Description:

The Tech Support/Junior Programmer position is geared towards individuals who are driven, extremely organized, detail oriented, perfectionists and who want the opportunity to become software developers. This position is responsible for providing advanced or Level 2 tech support to our customers and their learners, interfacing with our staff and development team to support their needs, debugging/testing our database systems and courses on an ongoing basis, and learning how to code HTML, PHP, mySQL, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax and other programming languages as necessary.

The ideal candidate will like to work from home, has an interest in learning online technologies and would appreciate the opportunity to become an experienced software/web developer.

Typical Responsibilities:

• General technical support to external customers and internal staff, usually via email

• Q/A and test systems and courses on a proactive, ongoing basis

• Interface with customers to determine needs and communicate with senior developers

• Provide customer service to external customers two days per week to start as position evolves into full-time tech support position and then possibly, a full time developer position

• Candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

• Curious, self-starter, team player mentality
