Exclusive req on a VAX/VOS COBOL Developer position. Candidate can work remotely from anywhere in the US. May need to travel onsite 1-2 times, but that would be at the client's expense. 3 Month project.

Resource requirements for Client*s VOS based MQSeries Project

Project

Remote development with possible on-site testing required.

This project will be using MQSeries Client on Client*s VOS based V-Series servers. A current TCP/IP based gateway will be used as a template to develop the MQSeries Client based gateway. The TCP/IP based gateway management interfaces (configuration files, command interface, statistics, etc.) will need to be taken into account while developing the MQSeries Client based gateway.

Resource Skills

MQSeries

Primary Client*s VOS COBOL

Secondary Client*s VOS C

Knowledge of VOS and MQ queues

VOS no-wait event processing

TCP/IP

MQ-Series client API and error recovery.

The ability to scope an MQSeries project and work with Client*s to create a development and test schedule.

The ability to lead the definition and creation of a detailed requirements document.

Other Requirements

Provide regular status reports based on an agreed schedule and when required to address customer concerns, participate in Status meetings as required and generally work as diligently as possible to complete project objectives in as short a timeframe as is possible.

Provide code developed and review the code based on an agreed schedule.

Documentation will be provided on an agreed schedule to the Project Manager for packaging into Clients documentation standards.
