Remote Junior System Engineer

Responsibilities:

•Assist in the planning and implementation of system upgrades to include both harware and software.

•Determine and resolve issues related to either hardware or software errors as they occur.

•Provide support for applications running in both Windows and Linux environment.

•Create and maintain both Windows and Linux based Virtual servers running with VM ware.

•Maintain and improve Tomcat, Weblogic and Websphere application servers.

•Work with software developers on the design and specification of features

•Assist in the Translation of requirements into User Acceptance Tests, feature specifications, and software solutions

•Develop and execute thorough test plans in a timely and efficient manner for all areas of the product

•Write easy-to-understand test case steps and expected result descriptions.

•Critically think about how consumers will interact with the software being tested and turn those thoughts into finding bugs, listing action items, and opening avenues of discussion

•Write and maintain documentation

•Work with the development team to design and build DocEnTrust products and services

Requirements:

· 1-3 Years experience working with and developing code with Java.

· 1-3 Years experience designing and developing web applications using J2EE technologies (i.e. JSP, Servlets, JDBC,etc..)

· 1-3 Years experience with building and maintaining windows 2000/2003 server OS.

· 1-3 Years experience with configuring and maintaining apache, IIS for internal and customer facing environment

· 1-3 Years experience with configuring and maintaining various application servers to include Tomcat, Weblogic and Websphere.

· 1-3 years experience with implementing and maintaining MSSQL server (SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005).

· 1-3 Years experience with MSSQL server security and DB optimization practices.

· Experience with XML,HTML and JavaScript.

· Excellent written and Oral and Troubleshooting Skills.

· BS in CIS, MIS or CS or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

· 1-3 years experience developing web based applications using Documentum’s (D5) WDK.

· 1-3 years experience designing and implementing docapps using Documentums Application Builder (D5).

· 1-3 years of experience designing and developing applications that use Documentum Foundation classes (D5).

· 1-3 Years experience with Hardware storage arrays, SAN, fibre-channel design.

· Working knowledge of TCP/IP.

· 1-3 Years experience with MSSQL server in active-standby or clustered configuration.

· 1-3 Years with Managing and deploying service packs and security patches.
