Innovative PHP MySQL AJAX API Web Engineer – Orange County, CA
This is a great opportunity to lead the development of novel and innovative data driven business applications. You will be responsible for new applications, existing modifications, and web design utilizing PHP, MySQL, AJAX, WSDL, and XML technologies. Your hands on responsibilities will involve:
* Designing and developing data driven application systems utilizing the latest LAMP PHP/MySQL technologies including PHP5 and MySQL.
* Utilizing AJAX technologies to create a slick user experience.
* Designing, developing, and maintaining database systems utilizing MySQL.
* Integrating web applications with web services utilizing XML, SOAP, WSDL, and ASMX technologies.
* Designing and developing appealing web based front ends utilizing JavaScript and HTML.
* Project Management activities interfacing with users and application designers.
* Working with external software vendors to implement 3rd party systems, applications and technologies.
Preferred Candidate Background and Expertise:
* 3 years of web development expertise working with LAMP based technologies including Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP.
* BS, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Systems or related field.
* Expertise working with AJAX.
* Experience integrating web applications with web services by utilizing XML, SOAP, WSDL, and ASMX technologies.
* Experience working with PHP based frameworks including CakePHP, ZEND, Symfony, PHOCOA, or CodeIgnitor a plus.
* Ability to take broad user requirements and translate requirements into robust code.
* Strong project management experiences combined with excellent communication skills!
Applicants must reside in Orange County and be willing to attend weekly meetings in Laguna Beach, CA office.
