At Home PR Writer

Watercooler, Inc. (www.watercooler-inc.com), a rapidly growing Mountain View startup in the entertainment social media space, is seeking a PR Writer to lead the company's in-house blogging and outreach efforts.

Working together with our retained PR firm, you will be responsible for telling the stories of what the millions of users are doing on the Watercooler Application Network in the sports and television entertainment space.

Above all, the PR Writer position at Watercooler has 3 main requirements:

1) Excellent PR Writer - Ideally, you have 2-4 years experience writing copy for PR/outbound marketing purposes. You will be responsible for writing and organizing our company blog, so you must be a very creative and articulate writer.

2) Aggressive and honest outbound promoter - Ideally, you will have 1-2 years experience contacting media on behalf of clients. After you write amazing copy, you will be responsible for outbound PR with local media and leading bloggers.

3) Driven to Succeed - This is a 3 month contract. If you succeed, we will strongly consider hiring you into a full time role.

Other important factors to us include:

- 1-4 years PR/writing experience, preferably in an agency environment.

- "Get" working in a startup, and desire to work in a startup environment that's touching millions of consumers every day.

- Detail oriented and able to organize and manage lots of information.

- Ability to take initiative and be proactive without over-supervision.

- Team player with the ability to act quickly and efficiently under deadlines.

This is a full-time 3-month contract beginning immediately that may turn into a full-time role.

Working out of our offices in Mountain View is ideal, but we are willing to consider remote candidates for this position.
