Work from Home Sr SAP Basis Administrator

This position provides an opportunity to telecommute.

The position is responsible for supporting the Rockwell Collins' global implementations of SAP R/3, BW, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal implementation and future applications.

Principle Accountabilities:

    * Administers production and development environments for all SAP modules (BASIS functions only, no application security responsibilities)

    * Analyzes and implements tasks for existing or proposed SAP systems; installs new SAP software and upgrades

    * Monitors the UNIX file system as it relates to SAP, makes recommendations for UNIX system administration

    * Participates in performance testing for systems

    * Supports programming and configuration professionals

    * Participates in the System Performance tuning of the production system and makes recommendations

    * Participate in the design and support of new and existing interfaces to SAP

    * Support job scheduling, archiving, output management and warehousing solutions

    * Learn appropriate applications, languages, technologies, tools, and procedures to perform independently

    * Performs defined tasks in a timely and high quality manner

    * Maintains the integrity and quality of production through operational procedures

    * Provides on-call support on a rotational basis

Strong analysis and design skills; good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency in Basis environment, HP-UX operating system; proficiency with Oracle or other large scale relational database management systems; and ABAP skills desirable.
