Work from Home System Developer II (PHP/MySQL)

To meet the business needs of the organization, the System Developer II will be responsible for the development, maintenance & documentation of computer programs. The applications and reports are developed for internal and external customers, using effective communication skills working constructively with a diverse group of people throughout the agency. This position will assist the Agency in migrating from a Visual Foxpro Desktop application to a PHP/MySQL Intranet application. US Telecommuting candidates will be considered.

Representative Duties:

* Create complex applications using PHP/MySQL, based on company requirements

* Design database structures for new systems

* Develop reports for internal and external customers

* Assist staff in defining information system needs

* Test developed applications against business needs

* Install applications in the production environment

* Produce appropriate technical and business documentation for developed applications

* Schedule and monitor the production of periodic files/reports for outside organizations and regulatory agencies

* Develop interface programs between multiple platforms and systems

* Trains end users on developed applications

* Provides end user support on developed applications

* Assists and advises junior developers one technique and languages

Qualifications:

* Extensive development experience using Web technologies specifically:

o PHP / xHTML / Javascript / CSS

* Thoroughly versed in SQL programming language

* Demonstrated commitment to teamwork

* Excellent project management skills

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Strong customer focus and service provider orientation

* Ability to take initiative

* Excellent ability to learn and adapt to changing priorities and business processes

* Strong multi-tasking ability and ability to meet deadlines
