ICF International seeks a home-based Librarian to work within the Human Services and Community Development practice.

The responsibilities of the Librarian include:

Serving as Librarian for a Human Services oriented clearinghouse.

Selecting materials for the clearinghouse.

Maintaining electronic alert service.

Responding to the information needs of the Library's users.

Preparing and checking batches for Abstractors.

Supporting the research needs of client and staff.

Cataloging items for the clearinghouses’ LiveLink database and maintain databases as needed.

Scanning journals for relevant articles to add to the clearinghouses’ collections.

Maintaining and updating the Thesaurus.

Working with content teams to add content.

The Librarian receives supervision from the Library Manager.

Master’s Degree in Library Science and two years of work or internship experience in a Library or information based organization required. The Specialist should be able to work closely with people from several different functions, different levels of expertise, and support their information needs; and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non technical users.
