Offsite Contract Manager

Location: Telecommute position

I.     Purpose And Scope

The role of the Contract Administration Manager is to administer and coordinate the maintenance and negotiation of residential mortgage loan sub-servicing contracts while minimizing corporate risk and maintaining profitability objectives.

II. Responsibilities, Specific Duties And Essential Functions

Directly negotiate subservicing agreements on behalf of GMAC Mortgage by working with senior leaders of the potential client, their internal and/or external counsel, the appropriate GMACM business units, and the GMACM counsel assigned to the particular transaction.  Such negotiations focus on risk identification and mitigation, financial considerations and operational and procedural elements.

Research and respond to contract information requests.

Coordinate changes to the servicing contract with all affected GMACM business units to assess the impact of operational changes as a result of suggested contract requests.  Understand pricing impact for changes.

Communicate contract particulars and disseminate final agreements to Enterprise Operations senior leadership.

Facilitate reconstitutions on behalf of our 3rd party clients by negotiating, in conjunction with the Legal Department, security-related agreements and other documents or agreements as needed.

III.  Relationship To Others

Title of Immediate Manager:

Director of Contract Finance

Internal and External Business Relationships:

Internal

Business Development Staff, Legal, Enterprise Operations (Managers, Directors, VPs, SVPs and the EVP)

External

Senior leadership of potential and existing Clients, and its legal internal and external legal counsel.  Legal representatives contracted by GMACM. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications

§         A four year college degree in a business related field or equivalent  experience

§         3 - 5 years experience in Mortgage Servicing.

§         1 - 3 years dealing with negotiations, contract issues, with an emphasis in servicing agreements and security-related agreements or similar experience

§         Knowledge of legal issues regarding contracts and loan servicing.

§         Proven ability to negotiate contract terms directly with clients.

§         Experience in the loan origination and/or servicing operations to include applicable investor and regulatory requirements.

§         Strong leadership, interpersonal/communication (written/verbal) skills.

§         Ability to recognize impact of contractual or  operational changes and the impact to pricing.

§         Ability to work on multiple tasks at any time.

§         Detail oriented

§         Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

§         Strong organizational skills.

§         Ability to manage to deadlines.  

§         Proven problem solving experience.

§         Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

V.     Conditions of Work

·         Some travel.

·         Telecommute

·         Additional work hours required.

·         Must be willing to change plans and priorities on short notice.
