Virtual Research Software Engineer

* Research Software Engineer (Java Developer) will contribute to research at the forefront of stem cell research and systems biology.

Job Duties

* Will work with a diverse team of computational and experimental biologists and will be responsible for developing a new generation of open-source web-based tools for analysis, visualization, and modeling of complex datasets.

* Will develop sophisticated, robust, high performance, and scalable web-based applications.

Minimum Requirements

* B.S. with 3-6 years of experience.

* 2-3 years professional Java development experience and interests in my SQL, web services, web 2.0 technologies, AJAX, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Familiarity with biology and bioinformatics would be desirable but not essential. Good communication skills, and team-spirit are crucial.
