Offsite Medical Writer

Growing biotech corporation specializing in the capture, integration and analysis of healthcare-related data seeking a Medical Writer to augment their Scientific team.

This position will be responsible for researching, writing and editing across therapeutic areas and product lines. Working as a part of a multidisciplinary analytical and scientific team, the medical writer will be responsible for.

Responsibilities:

    * Writing and editing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals

    * Preparing abstracts, presentations, and, posters

    * Assisting in the preparation of protocols and study reports

    * Reviewing tables, listings, and safety data

    * Participating in clinical project team meetings

    * Reviewing literature, and providing summary information on various topics

      Partial telecommute/work from home

      Weekly Hrs:  Project Based

Requirements

    * Graduate degree in biological or clinical sciences preferred; combination of Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and appropriate professional experience will also be accepted.

    * 5 + years’ experience in medical writing in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Agency setting.

    * Must have Manuscript/Publication experience

    * Experience writing scientific abstracts and publications on outcomes of clinical and/or registry studies Basic understanding of biostatistics.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills

    * Direct interaction with clients and physicians in developing medical communications Creative and innovative problem-solver

    * Excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge of basic office software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    * Knowledge of issues regarding human subjects data.

    * Experience in regulatory submission extensive interpretation and review of scientific/medical information.

    * Previous experience in cardiovascular,  renal transplantation and oncology a must.
