Freelance Principal Architect Pega Rules Process Commander

The Principal Architect works with Business and IT stakeholders to drive strategic PRPC platform adoption and develop the platform roadmap in support of business goals and strategies. The Principal Architect is also responsible for providing architectural guidance, conducting design reviews and formulating platform usage standards, specifications and integration patterns. The Principal Architect acts as a trusted advisor and consultant by building and maintaining relationships with implementation architects and solution delivery managers. The Principal Architect also evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within Assurant Health enterprise architecture.

 

 

Open to telecommuting, but must be willing to travel to Milwaukee when needed.

Qualifications

 

    * 3+ years of experience designing and deploying PRPC-based solutions, including leading design efforts to develop shared/reusable enterprise rules and workflow components within Pega Process Rules Commander. Experience with the PRPC Health Care Framework and Claims Workstation is desirable.

    * 7+ years of experience in at least two IT disciplines in a multi-tier environment.

    * 5+ years experience operating in an architect or technical leadership role on enterprise wide development projects.

    * Knowledge of client/server processing and object-oriented analysis and design methodologies.

    * Knowledge of Web architectures including portals, application servers, security, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and .Net / Java technologies.

    * Knowledge of relational database technologies and data access patterns and frameworks.

    * Ability to balance the long-term and short-term implications of individual decisions.

    * Ability to translate business needs into enterprise architecture requirements.

    * Ability to comprehend rapidly the functions and capabilities of new technologies.

    * Must have experience building strong and credible relationships, and effectively collaborate across the extended enterprise (employee, partners, and customers)

    * Must possess excellent presentation and facilitation skills.

    * Requires strong communication skills – both written and oral.

    * Prior consulting experience is desirable.

    * Prior experience with ITIL, CMMI and the Zachman Framework is a plus.

    * Knowledge of Siebel CRM is a plus.

    * BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
