Work from Home .NET Developer
Information Concepts (www.infoconcepts.com) develops custom web-based software applications for organizations in the Washington, DC area. Projects include implementation of large scale Web-Based and Smart Client Systems. For over 25 years, Information Concepts has delivered mission critical software applications to organizations such as:
C-SPAN
The Internal Revenue Service
The U.S. Department of State
The Washington Post
XM Radio
All of us at Information Concepts know that software development is a people-oriented business. Our success is dependent on our ability to attract and keep quality managers, developers and staff.
When we hire you, you become a member of our team. We do not hire to a specific project; we hire people with the skills we need for the long-term. This is demonstrated by the longevity of our staff and leadership team.
Information Concepts is actively looking for talented .Net Developers with strong skills in one or more of the following Microsoft.NET development platform tools:
•SQL Server .NET
•Visual Basic.NET or C#
•BizTalk
•InfoPath
•SharePoint
•Active Server Pages (ASP) / ASP.NET
Additionally, Information Concepts works with these other development tools:
•Oracle
•Java (J2EE, Servlets, JSP)
Knowledge of one or more of these tools and SQL Server, as well as 2+ years of hands-on development experience, and a BA/BS degree are required. Strong oral and written communication skills are very important. Also, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and be able to clear a federal government security background check.
Our software developers work in teams of 3 to 8 in a very hands-on environment. Projects last, on average, between 4 and 8 months, allowing teams to work through an entire life cycle and then move on to a new challenge. We provide career enhancement opportunities by continually updating the technology we use in development. We provide training on the new technology, and give you the opportunity to work on interesting projects.
We want you to want to come to work, and be happy when you work. Once you have a demonstrated track record with us, and dependent on the job, we provide flexibility to work off-hours and from home.
Information Concepts offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
•Medical, vision and prescription coverage through the CareFirst Blue Cross and Blue Shield Blue plan
•Dental insurance through Guardian
•Paid Vacation
•Tuition Reimbursement
•401(k) retirement savings plan
Our atmosphere is casual; we have a relaxed dress-code. People gather for informal meetings and sketch out ideas on the board. We keep sodas in the fridge, there’s good coffee in the morning, and we have bagels on Fridays (though that’s certainly not all!). We have an open environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
We come from a variety of backgrounds and have a variety of skill sets. What we all have in common is a great work ethic and excitement for finding the best technical solution. We encourage you to apply and join our team!
