Remote Graphic/Web/Flash Designer

Classification: Temporary

Compensation: $25 to $30 per hour

This candidate will be responsible for projects in web, graphic and Flash design.

Primary duties include:

• Creation and editing of interactive web objects, primarily with Adobe Flash.
• Creation and manipulation of web graphics logos.
• Layout and design of the look and feel of web pages.

Secondary duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Editing of digital video for upload to web.
• Creation of print materials.
• Interface with freelance designers for larger scale projects.

Requirements Four-year degree in design, art, interactive multimedia, or related is strongly preferred; comparable experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Knowledge and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, including Actionscript) is required. Basic familiarity with HTML, video editing, and Microsoft Office is required. Familiarity with working with web technologies standards-CSS, PHP, AJAX, Javascript, etc.-is preferred.

The successful candidate will be well versed in the latest design and web communication techniques-and will be committed to keeping up with those trends. At the same, the successful candidate will be able to design in a number of different styles, from the design of the last five minutes to simple elegance.
