Home Based Sr. Quest Migration Engineer/Architect

This is a unique opportunity to work remotely in the role of Sr. Quest Migration Engineer/Architect for a Microsoft Gold Partner client. The Sr. Quest Migration Engineer will be responsible for migration planning and deployment utilizing Quest Migrator Tool.

The successful Sr. Quest Migration Engineer will have an have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory including, setting domain policies, how IPSEC works, Group Policy, site definition, replication, trusts etc. The Sr. Quest Migration Engineer/Architect will be responsible for strong understanding on name resolution and related services. The Sr. Quest Migration Engineer/Architect will understand general networking architecture. The Sr. Quest Migration Engineer/Architect will have migration experience from one platform to another. The Sr. Quest Migration Engineer/Architect will be responsible for working under tight deadlines with little direction, supervision or assistance. The Sr. Quest Migration Engineer/Architect will have strong written and verbal communication skills and communicate accurate and useful status updates.

Experience Requirements for the position of Sr. Quest Migration Engineer/Architect:

** Active Directory Server Migrations

** Experience with the Quest Migrator Tool

** Senior level that can take ownership of tasks and work effectively with client team

** Work odd hours (weekends and late nights)

Educational and Experience Preferences for the position of Sr. Quest Migration Engineer/Architect:

- Certification: A+, MCSA, MCSE or equivalent required.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Windows Server products, Networking Technologies, DNS, WINS.

- Technical Writing and Presentation experience a plus

- Networking and IT Security knowledge and experience is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, Doctoral degree or equivalent experience
