Work at Home Microsoft Exchange Administrator

(Michigan) MICROSOFT EXCHANGE SERVER ADMINISTRATOR - CLMIJB1

This position requires you have a Microsoft Certification in Exchange 2007.

This position requires ENTERPRISE experience with MULTI-SITE Exchange Environments.

OVERVIEW

In this highly charged position, the Microsoft Exchange Administrator is responsible for continuing maintenance of sever clients and ensuring 99.9% uptime availability utilizing various hardware and software devices and tools. You will be called upon to participate in meetings and post sales support, implementation of Microsoft Exchange Server in a variety of client organizations with varying number of end-users. Enterprise solutions will include a wide, broad knowledge of various storage and clustering solutions as well as multiple, redundant Exchange servers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Our work environment includes client “on-site” work, “off-site” work, and “remote-support” services. In many cases, you will work from the comfort of your own home, under the direction and control of a project manager. On many occasions, you will be participating in remote support services, application development, and solutions-based services. Occasionally, you will be required to perform “off-site” services at the client’s site, which will require company paid travel expenses.

EDUCATION

• MCSE on Windows Server 2003

• MCTS (Exchange Server 2003 or 2007), MS Certified Technology Specialist

• BS in Computer Science desired, but not required

Requirements.

• 5+ years as a Microsoft Exchange Administrator/Architect AT THE ENTERPRISE LEVEL—Please, do not respond if you have not managed, configured, or supported multi-site environments.

• Participate in the design and review of a distributed Microsoft Windows infrastructure.

• Provide top tier support administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Exchange 2003 / 2007 and mail gateways in a distributed Exchange environment and ensure best practices are implemented.

• Provide top tier support administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting for Windows 2003 Active Directory (AD) and ensure best practices are implemented.

• Manage and Monitor Windows OS servers and Microsoft systems.

• Manage and troubleshoot Group Policy at all levels (local, OU, site, etc)

• Write and maintain VBS scripts to automate and troubleshoot systems as necessary.

• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to systems design, systems configuration, testing and evaluation, and network configuration.

• Respond to server monitoring system alerts to evaluate and remedy identified problems.

• Be available for after-hours and weekend support of critical servers as necessary.

• Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of disaster recovery procedures for critical systems.

• Evaluate, analyze and audit production systems processes and equipment, and help develop and implement solutions to aid with the continuity of operations.

• Participate in the identification of vulnerabilities and their mitigation.

• Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies.

• Maintain effective communications with vendors, peers and clients in support of assigned projects.

• Participate in the development of written project plans, task schedules, test and evaluation plans, and system design documents.

• Experience with migrations from Lotus, MAC, and IBM environments to Exchange Server 2007.

• Experience deploying all 5 of the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Server Roles.

• Experience with Unified Messaging and Integration procedures.

• Experience with Blackberry Enterprise Server and Devices.

• Experience with Windows Mobile Devices.

• Experience with Microsoft Outlook Clients

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience with Cisco Unified messaging integration with Exchange

• VI3 (VMWare Certification)

• Expertise with Mail Marshall Mail Gateways and Spam filtering.

• Knowledgeable with KiXstart login scripts

• High proficiency with Dell server hardware and Blade technology.

• Experience in design and implementation of integrated load-sharing multi-tier system architecture
