Virtual Web Developer/Application Programmer

EhrenWerks, LLC is seeking an experienced freelance web developer / application programmer with a proven track record in successful web application development on a contract basis to work on a variety of projects.

Job Description

• Complete application development lifecycle of web-based applications, including participation of requirements gathering, application design, developing code and associated database architecture, testing, deployment and maintenance.

• Small programming and/or server related tasks as required.

• Troubleshooting, maintenance and update of existing applications.

• Ability to work independently and with our team to convert business/client requirements into functionality re-using/building on existing code or extending it.

Skills

• Languages: .cfm, .php, .jsp, .asp and/or .net.

• Standards: Use of CFCs, Object Oriented Design, Stored Procedures, Standards Based Development and other contemporary coding standards

• Toolkits: Adobe Flex, Dojo, Fusebox

• Databases: MSSQL, MYSQL, Oracle

• Additional technologies: HTML, DHTML/XHTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, XSLT, AJAX, RSS, ActionScript

• Server Administration: Unix, Windows, Apache, IIS, ColdFusion Server

• Server Security: Data encryption, SSL, Authentication and website protection/security

• Tools: Adobe Web Development Software (Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator). Microsoft Visual Studio.

Experience

• 5+ years experience building web-based, database driven applications

• Knowledge of best practices for cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility

• Proficient in creating clean, structured code and style sheets with the latest techniques in web standards

• Proficient in creating easy-to-use, high performance, high-volume, high quality hosted and enterprise web applications

• Knowledge of and experience with web and database servers

• Experience in web applications that support forms submission and dynamic data display using technologies like AJAX

• Installation, use and custom configuration of Licensed and/or open source software (Shopping Carts, CMS, Blogs, etc.)

• Computer Science degree would be a plus, but is not required.

Additional Skills Desired, but not necessary

• Search Engine Optimization. Pay per Click Campaigns.

• The skills to effectively develop internal and external meeting objectives and agendas.

• The ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

• The ability to self-educate in the latest web technologies.

Job Details

• Terms: This position is contract.

• Rate: Please respond with hourly rate expectations. You will also be required to provide project based bids on larger efforts.

• Start with updates and smaller applications to allow you to demonstrate proficiency, migrating to later application development projects as required.

• Location: Our office in Louisville, CO and/or telecommuting from yours.
