Work at Home Writers and Executive

Writers could be full-time or part-time. Since our founding thirteen years ago, we have made excellent use of consultants.

Foreign language skills, particularly German, are important but not essential. Writers need to have very good research skills and the ability to write in a manner that can explain complex issues to leaders and ordinary people. Ideally, some should have good people skills to help us network with other organizations.

ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES. Projects include updating our Global Indicators Program. This means updating the indicators themselves and our Signs of the Times news section on these indicators. We also want to write a summary piece on proposed solutions to the current global crisis covering material such as the recent writings of people like Lester Brown.

GERMANY AND THE EU. We are very interested in the evolution of the EU into a potential new global force. Thus, we want writers to cover political developments in Europe, particularly Germany. This requires an understanding of German history and philosophy. (This means going back at least as far as Frederick the Great.) Eventually, we want to set up an office in Berlin, Germany. Fluent German is needed here.

MEDIA, POPULAR CULTURE, UNDERGROUND CULTURE. Our Media Program studies popular culture and underground culture. We are particularly interested in subjects such as the connection between ancient paganism, heavy metal rock and environmental awareness. We are curious about the role and the ability of underground culture to set in motion forces of change. We may consider the study of certain aspects of rap. Work can involve going to concerts and covering what's happening on Myspace and You Tube.

We are always interested in people who could bring an editorial insight to our site in terms of suggestions for a tighter organization of material. We are never afraid of constructive criticism although the definition of the term "constructive" is often in the eye of the beholder.

Students are welcome. You can get valuable work experience here. Foreign language speakers and immigrants are particularly welcome.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT POSITION. In an Executive Vice President we want a person who has good (large donor) fund raising, management and leadership skills. The President has absolutely no plans to retire but the EVP is the number two position here. This person must be capable of serving as CEO and must represent the organization in public. We want somebody who combines idealism with discipline. We want somebody who has the guts and the will power for the pursuit of long term goals where success often takes years of hard work and a lot of frustration. Foreign language skills, particularly German or Chinese, would be useful but not essential. Our commitment to an international vision is more than just a slogan. Foreigners and immigrants are welcome to apply.

The World Future Fund has been in business for over thirteen years. We have a long term vision of our role. Our web site has very high search engine rank positions for many of the issues we cover and prints out to over 2,000 pages. In other words what you write has the potential to reach a global audience. Unlike many institutions in this town we combine a study of history, particularly ancient history, political philosophy and religion with a study of the present. We are also very interested in art and its use for political purposes.
