Virtual Media Planner

My client, a highly creative, non-traditional marketing company, is looking for a freelance Media Planner to assist with planning and executing their marketing campaigns.

Experience in online, OOH and print is required and an understanding of video distribution tactics is highly desirable.

Clients vary across categories, from entertainment to traditional, and include highly visible dynamic brands.

Position Summary: The role of the Media Planner is to be the day-to-day steward on media issues, including accurate budget control and flow of media activity. The Media Planner is required to develop and maintain a strong knowledge of their clients' businesses and apply their media understanding accordingly to help deliver against the clients' needs/objectives. The Media Planner will work closely with the Supervisor in the development and communication of all media recommendations.

Responsibilities:

- Assist Supervisor in gathering and analyzing appropriate research to provide sound, strategic, consumer-insight driven media recommendations

- Assist Supervisor in development of communication plan options/recommendations

- Maintain accurate budget control and flow of media activity, and update client on a timely/consistent basis

- Demonstrate proficiency industry systems/tools (TARDIIS, MRI, Adviews)

- Establish collaborative, productive working relationship with implementation teams to ensure media strategies are being delivered and brand goals/client needs are being met

- Ensure proper execution of communication plans by monitoring buys/schedules

- Develop strong working relationships with partner agencies (where/when applicable), helping create a seamless communications process

- Demonstrate creativity and agility when problem solving

- Deliver POVs/position papers on key client issues and/or client opportunities

- Prepare media authorizations per approved plans/project requests

- Prepare & cascade buying specificiations upon client authorizations

- Timely delivery of all work

- Work with Supervisor on establishing goals

POSITION STARTS IMMEDIATELY, RATE IS $400-600 PER DAY D.O.E.
