Work from Home Oracle PL/SQL Programming Contractor
IData Inc., an energetic and productive technical consulting firm, has an excellent contracting opportunity for a PL/SQL developer to help us complete an exciting new project. Specifically, we need someone with:
• Senior level experience in PL/SQL development (or a “rock-star” junior developer). (We have DBA experience on the project and are currently seeking developers only).
• Experience writing modular, robust code
• Excellent analytical skills
• Experience and understanding of relational databases, specifically Oracle
• Clear and confident communication skills (a well written cover letter is a good indicator)
• The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• A passion for custom development work, and the ability to learn quickly
• Good writing skills (commenting code and creating content for technical documentation)
• Strong work ethic that requires little supervision and results in self-direction and motivation
• Ability to work remotely, but still collaborate well.
The ideal candidate will be within the DC metro area. Familiarity with some or all of the following would be helpful:
• Exposure to ERP systems
• Exposure to tuning complex SQL queries
• Knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Experience with higher education administrative systems (i.e. SunGard Banner)
• Experience using version control systems such as subversion
This position is for a 6 to 8 week contract and the ideal candidate should be able to start ASAP.
