Work from Home Writer

We are looking for a pro-active writer willing to publish blog-style news stories and/or press releases covering topics relating to a residential community in West Houston. The ideal person will also be available for quick on-site photos if needed. We are looking to build an ongoing relationship with 1-2 stories published per week (some topics assigned, and some topics suggested by you).

We would prefer a writer who lives in the Fort Bend County/West Houston/Katy/Fulshear area.

Topics Include:

- Neighborhood development progress
- Community specific and area-wide events
- New business openings
- Interviews with local influentials
- Restaurant and retail store profiles
- Shopping/nightlife/entertainment features
- Human interest stories with a small-town flair
- Local real estate news
- Profiles

The perfect candidate will be willing to be deeply involved with the information-gathering and interviewing process. A good communicator, and willing to develop an ongoing relationship with us as well as our client to produce up to 2 stories per week on average.

Compensation will be based on our agreement per story. Some stories will be in-depth and others will be short and sweet. We can agree on 2 rates.
