Remote Sales Director

STRATEGY Magazine, a business publication targeted to MBAs and business professionals and nationally distributed to Barnes & Noble, Borders, and Hudson News, seeks a highly motivated individual to manage all sales activities in New York City.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with agencies and clients through face-to-face or telephone contact, written correspondence and participation in trade shows.

• Seek out and target new marketing and sales opportunities. Generate ad leads, create media kits and make cold calls to potential clients. Develop and implement action plan to approach and secure new advertising clients for STRAGY Magazine.

• Develop a support sales team to develop sales department.

• Manage contracts for existing clients and renew contracts upon expiration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or related field
• 5+ years in magazine ad sales
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
• Excellent analytical and negotiating skills
