Remote Flash Media Designer

Crimson Consulting Group Inc. (http://www.crimson-consulting.com) is a leading management consulting firm whose interactive services practice focuses on web and interactive media strategy, design, and development. Through our offices in Silicon Valley and Research Triangle we serve forward-thinking enterprise clients on major initiatives, including Adobe, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Seagate, and Verizon.

As part of Crimson’s Interactive Media Services, Consultants needed to design Flash-based content for a private, interactive content distribution media network delivered on standalone LCD terminals. Flash content will include movies, animation, advertisements, banners, games, and other interactive media delivered on private channels. We recognize that Flash media encompasses many skill sets, and as we are building a team you do not need to be proficient in all media areas.

Consultant’s responsibilities will include:

• Develop original content for the media channels

• Convert in-house video to Flash formats

• Convert syndicated video content to Flash formats

• Manage the visual design and related creative processes (graphics design, layout, copywriting) for both general and private network deployments

• Help define and deliver the user experience

• Assist with all levels of production, from content planning to delivery

MUST HAVE:

• 4+ years in Flash design and interactive media (such as web design for a high volume consumer web application or platform; news, sports, or other broadcast media experience; or experience working on a mainstream, high-traffic consumer site)

• Experience with ActionScript 2.0

• Updated and recent portfolio

PREFER:

• Experience delivering Flash-based, consumer-oriented interfaces on a media network

• Experience working in a broadcast media production environment

• Degree in graphic design, broadcast media, or related discipline
