Work at Home Java UI Engineer

Zilliant is seeking a highly skilled and talented individual to join our world-class software development team. This individual should

possess advanced thick client development skills and demonstrated success in user interface technologies such as UCB or Swing. In

addition to performing new feature development, this role will also provide support for rapidly prototyping demonstration code for

Fortune 500 customers. This critical and highly visible role provides both a leading edge technical development environment together

with the opportunity to understand and provide innovative solutions for real-world business price management problems. Our corporate

headquarters are in Austin, TX but this is a telecommuting role for very qualified candidates.

Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 2 years UI development experience in Hibernate, Servlets, JSP, HTML, Struts, and

Swing.

* 2 + years of J2EE development with one or more enterprise software applications utilizing application servers such as JBoss, Weblogic

and/or Websphere and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and/or DB2.

* Experience developing generic highly extensible designs that require minimal code beyond customization files and plug-ins per customer

deployment.

* Direct experience in requirements analysis, use case analysis, and design development utilizing UML with utilization of well known

design patterns during elaboration phase.

* Disciplined engineering approach when developing unit tests, integration tests and robust API documentation during construction

phases.

* Configuration management exposure to Perforce or Clearcase within continuous integration environments and unit test frameworks.

Exceptional planning, scheduling, and task coordination skills necessary to commit and meet aggressive software release schedules.

* Exposure to Agile methodologies.

* Microsoft User Interface Technology experience including .NET and C# is desirable

The major roles and responsibilities of this position include:

* Collaboration with other developers, QA engineers, technical writers and solution deployment engineers on the in-depth design and

implementation of the software.

* Performing required unit and integration testing to deliver quality software to QA and the customer.

* Developing robust design and API documentation to support users of the system
