Virtual Sr. Networking Device Embedded Software Developer

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with experience in network security and firewalls for a 2–3 month contract (Possible conversion to perm).

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with IPtables and firewall configuration. This includes a keen understanding of how NAT and MANGLE tables work as well as FILTER. Candidates must be sensitive to performance issues with complex chains, and understand how to add outside modules to IPtables.

• VPN experience with OpenSSL with hardware based crypto accelerators (Cavium).

• Experience with DHCP relay (RFC3046)

• Also well-versed in other advanced networking technologies including (but not limited to): QoS, VLANs, DNS.

• Prior experience with Linux 2.6 required.

• Experience with OpenWRT, MontaVista or other embedded Linux desirable.

• Past experience with network management a big plus.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required. A Master's degree in these fields is a plus.

• Past experience managing large networks a big plus.

• Successful candidate will be highly motivated and able to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic, team oriented environment.
