Duration: 5+ Months Contract
Location - Our client is located in Houston, however the work can be done virtually. No travel is required. Yes, the candidate will work from his/her home in the US
CANDIDATE WILL WORK FROM HOME * THEY MUST HAVE A STRONG INTERNET CONNECTION FROM THEIR HOUSE * WILL BE VIEWING & DOWNLOADING LARGE FILES!!
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The right candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in technical writing, possess a degree and send along writing samples for consideration by the client.
The candidate NEEDS TO HAVE --hardware or technology industry experience. Each writer will be focused on one single solution/server/product.
Will be great if the candidate has knowledge/experience of working w/ Microsoft & Citrix solutions!
The Tech Writer will perform technical writing activities such as research and needs analysis, conduct interviews with subject matter experts, sales collateral and technical specification writing.
Produce project deliverables including: PowerPoint-based Sales Presentations, MS Word based technology briefs, MS Word based battlecards and competitive positioning documents. Perform knowledge transfer and/or coaching to other team members, as needed.
Must be an organized worker, who is outgoing and can handle working with multiple subject matter experts (SMEs). This individual must be able to work in a team environment, following established styles and standards, and be able to take examples of existing work and replicate them so their work is consistent with others on the team. This individual must be a self-starter, who can manage his/her own work, deadlines, SMEs---someone who requires little supervision. This person must also be very proactive in seeking out answers from the Managing Editors, other team members and SME*s.
Must be a quick study, and very detail-oriented, yet be able to see and understand the big picture
