Freelance Digital Software
We’re looking for the unusually bright individual that can wear many hats and perform a bit of magic. Someone familiar with database applications, a bit of web development and can program in high level languages C #, Net, or script when necessary. You’ll be involved with machine level applications and interfaces, web-development and data bases, standalone software applications for earth science, as well as tweaking MS standard applications Excel, or Access to fit a particular need. This is for someone that likes varied and challenging assignments, knows the tricks of the trade can work alone or with others in developing tight, bug free applications.
Some things you should know-(and know how to work within)
C/C++ or Java programming languages
Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD)
Visual Programming languages
Unified Modeling Language (UML)
Relational Database Design, Data Modeling
SQL (including familiarity with a RDBMS such as SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
HTML, CSS
Where you’ll be working
You’ll be working either at home or at our facility on a daily basis in creating the needed software, machine interface or software application needed for a project. Projects are for either clients using our equipment or in servicing internal IT needs. Projects can last several days to 6 months in duration and you’ll always be needed somewhere. You’ll be working with others in our electronic engineering group and with high caliber consultants in specialized areas such as Time domain, or high frequency application on a regular basis. Our Facility location is the Goleta area on south Kellogg Ave. near the Santa Barbara airport.
