Survey Design Project
CAMEO is California’s State Micro-Enterprise Association serving 130 active members. These members are primarily nonprofit organizations providing business training, technical assistance and microloans to low and moderate-income entrepreneurs. Our programs and services include advocacy and capacity building to help our member programs achieve scale and sustainability. We are searching for a highly motivated, well organized individual to design a survey instrument for our annual member survey. This is a flexible part time position and hours will be based on the completion of the project by the date stipulated.
Responsibilities:
Create a survey design that will fulfill the following requirements:
• Easy for our members to use and navigate
• Is interactive and engages our members (Must have a fun look to it)
• Gives our members the ability to save an incomplete survey and get back to it later
• Has the ability to send reminders about completing it
• Animated pop-up when survey is complete
• Link to the survey found on CAMEO’s website
• Is restricted to members only
• Finished surveys are automatically returned to CAMEO
• CAMEO is able to easily collect and save the data in a spreadsheet
• CAMEO is able to view the results anytime throughout the process
• Members information is kept private and only CAMEO employees have access to it
Program Management:
• Design survey in accordance to CAMEO’s needs and requirements
• Send out survey to all our members
• Work with CAMEO staff to collect results
• Solve any technical problems related to the survey
• Educate CAMEO staff on how to operate the program for future use
*Survey has to be complete and ready to be sent out by February 10, 2009*
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong computer programming background as well as experience in design. Candidate must be creative and innovative in designing this program, and is not afraid to expand the scope of what is asked for. The candidate must also be willing to communicate with CAMEO as to what their needs and limitations are in regards to the project. The ideal candidate would be a student who could create this project for us and have something to put in their portfolio. The candidate can also use this project to gain school credit. Small stipend will be awarded upon project completion.
