What Advice & Counsel Center contributes to Cardinal Health
Advice and Counsel Center is responsible for providing advice and counsel to managers and employees on a variety of employee relations and/or labor relations and management issues.
What is expected of you for success in your role
* Demonstrates advanced knowledge of employee and labor relations methods, techniques and practices. Advanced awareness of employment and labor laws.
* Interprets customer needs with independent decision making authority and provides strategic and tactical solutions to address the issue. Evaluates and escalates matters as appropriate.
* Uses call center and customer relations management (CRM) technology to research, document and monitor employee relations cases and identify employee relations trends.
Proactively identifies ways to enchance the CRM technology.
Trains other team members.
* Solves complex problems and issues independently. Provides coaching and guidance to team members.
* Articulates and interprets policies and procedures to clients.
Analyzes and recommends modifications to existing policies and procedures.
* Maintains an advanced understanding of employee and labor relations trends that could escalate into a complex labor or other workplace action. Designs triage plan while assembling resources to execute toward a strategic resolution.

The Senior Advisor provides leadership support to the Advice and Counsel Center (ACC). Has substantial depth and breadth of experience in Human Resources with specific emphasis on Employee Relations, Employment Law (i.e., Title VII), Compliance (EEOC/OFCCP) and own job family; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Manages and directs others. Works closely with the Director on establishing and implementing strategy for the department.

Accountabilities
Leads ACC Specific Function
* mySafeWorkplace (MSW) — provides day to day guidance to contractors or advisors providing support. Manages incoming cases which includes: delegating cases to advisor/contractors, overseeing the investigation and ensuring compliance with procedures, monitoring progress and ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are maintained.
* ACC Call Center lead provides guidance and direction to ACC Advisors contractors or others as assigned in day to day activity. Accountable for daily results, goals and objectives.
* EEOC — manage all incoming EEOC complaints ensuring timely investigation, writing of response and collaboration with Legal on final submission.
* In addition to the above the Senior Advisor is also responsible for handling their own case load of MSW, ACC escalated calls or EEOC cases as assigned.

* Assists the Director in the developing and implementing the strategy for the ACC.
* Acts as a key contributor in a complex and critical environment.
* Escalates matters as appropriate to Director ACC, Subject Matter Expert (SME), HR Ops and provides strategic/tactical solutions.
* Provides background and guidance as necessary.
* Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations.
* Leads and/or participates on special projects or enterprise initiatives.
* Provides advice and counsel to management, HR Ops and employees via phone or email on a variety of employee relations issues during or after core business hours for escalated or highly sensitive issues.
* Collaborates with other Centers of Expertise (COE’s) to provide solutions as appropriate.
* Identifies Employee Relations/Labor Relations trends and communicates to Director ACC.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or Social Science. MBA or Master’s in related field preferred. SPHR Certification highly desirable.
* 8 - 10 years HR Generalist experience, with at least 5 years at a Senior Contributor or Manager level, minimum of 5 years of working with complex Employee Relations issues, FMLA, ADA, Title VII.
* Strong project skills.
* Works independently with limited or no supervision.
* Experienced at handling and solving complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify solutions.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; familiarity with PeopleSoft a plus
* Call center experience a plus.
