Customer Support/Help Desk (Part-Time Home Shore)
Pay/Hours: $10.00p/h up to 20 hours per week - hours vary and are flexible
Job Location: Chesapeake, VA ( or surrounding areas)
Responsibilities:
* This part-time work at home position will respond to inbound telephone calls from Infonet customers reporting problems with their wide area network; fast paced work with high volume answering that is highly transactional.
* Opens trouble tickets to record all actions taken to effect resolution of customer problems.
* Contacts customers directly, providing notification of error conditions affecting customer’s services, updates on existing problem conditions and coordination of ticket activities to closure.
* Conducts first level analysis and calls phone companies, technical field personnel and whoever else is necessary to work on a problem. Maintains responsibility for the ticket throughout its life cycle, even when transferred to another department.
* Ensures the department’s measurement and quality goals are met.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years experience in technical interface with telecommunications service providers including related help desk operations; strong customer service and problem resolution ability a must.
* Additional skills in managing, effective written and oral communications are essential.
* A 2 year degree is required; 4 year degree is preferred in Management. Other experience will be considered.
* This position REQUIRES a quite work at home environment, a Lan Telephone line and Broadband/DSL or Fios Internet Connection. BT will pay 50% of your internet costs.
* Work hours vary and can be flexible to your availability. Busiest days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:15am-11:15am and 3:15pm - 5:15pm EST.
Existing authorization to work in the United States is required.
Relocation support for this position is not currently available. No benefits.
