Offsite Editorial Assistant Contractor

Digital Press Inc is looking to fill a contractor position as an Editorial Assistant for UroToday International Journal, an online, open-access, peer-reviewed urology and oncology journal.​ UIJ  targets urologists and oncologists and works to increase the access to all levels of research and science to those urologists and oncologists around the world.​

Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and can perform work with careful attention to detail.​ He or she has the desire and ability to work and communicate successfully with a wide variety of people across countries, cultures, and disciplines.​ The position would work from home for about 40 hours/​week and should be available to attend meetings either virtually or in the office depending on location.​

The position manages our online manuscript submission tool, Editorial Manager, and should proficient in the use of MS Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, know AMA standards and be comfortable conducting online research.​ The contractor will be expected to provide support to the Managing Editor in the Editorial Department and prepare manuscripts for review and cast off, editing manuscripts, reviewing proofs, and performing market research as well as generate and monitor production schedules for the editorial calendar.​
