At Home Health Care Network Project Manager, Sr.

The Project Manager position within the Network Services Department will serve a key role in planning, managing and measuring the overall activities of large scale, multi-functional Network Services projects. The Project Manager will have responsibility to provide project management planning, execution and reporting to individual project teams. Supervises other Network Services project managers ensuring all project requirements are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Report project status and apprise management of issues requiring resolution in order to maintain progress on a timely basis.
• Conduct inter-functional area or inter-departmental project meetings as needed.
• Develop an appropriately detailed project plan and project charter.
• Manage and coordinate project resources and personnel.
• Meet with business process owners and other appropriate personnel to identify the project’s goals, objectives, critical success factors, and success measures.
• Provide project specific supervision to assigned project analysts
• Identify initial project team members.
• Work with Performance Measurement Department to development of cost/benefit analyses to be used in determining overall project viability.
• As needed develop and report key indices related to project expense and anticipated benefit in conjunction with Magellan Performance Measurement Department personnel.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Project Manager may be assigned to any Network Services projects or activities on an ad-hoc basis to provide short-term, business critical project management expertise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting and Finance, Information Technology or Engineering.
Experience: 3-5yrs.
Job Specific: At least three years project or network management experience. Experience in healthcare industry in operations (claims, network, HMO), financial, information technology, or project management.
Other: Proven ability to plan, organize, schedule, direct, control, and monitor project activities. Well developed interpersonal skills. Ability to perform basic financial and quantitative analysis. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with multiple areas of the organization to develop new programs and direct new projects under the direction of the NVP, Radiology Networks. The candidate must demonstrate the skills needed to develop PowerPoint presentations for communicating departmental capabilities for use in SBU sales situations and for expressing details about new departmental programs and projects on behalf of the NVP, Radiology Networks. Leadership skills in coordinating members of the radiology network team to produce reports and move projects forward on behalf of the NVP, Radiology Networks.
Computer Skills: MS Project, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Word, MS Access.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Project management, complex. Strong knowledge of provider systems and network design.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Proficiency in MS Project and MS Excel.
