Possible Remote Web/UI Designer

Funded early-stage startup seeks a designer for Web/UI work. & nbsp;You''ll be working alongside our full-time back-end programmer, taking functional web scripts and making them visually appealing and useable. & nbsp;We don''t have a specific education or experience requirements, but you should have a substantial portfolio of past work. & nbsp;You will be our only in-house designer, so the ability to work independently is key. You should be an expert at: 
 
XHTML 
CSS 
Photoshop 
Experience with the following would be a plus, but is not required: 
 
Vector Graphics (Adobe Illustrator) 
Some JavaScript/AJAX experience 
Compensation will be composed of cash and equity and will depend on work experience. Full benefits are included. & nbsp;We work startup hours (more than 40 hours/week) but are very flexible in accommodating personal schedules. & nbsp;We prefer work to be performed on location at our office in San Francisco, but will consider remote work on a case by case basis. & nbsp;Exact start date is negotiable, some time in April or May ''09.
