Telecommute osCommerce Expert
IMPORTANT: Please, we respectfully request that *only* genuine osCommerce-specific experts respond to this ad.
We are a small, continuously growing Rochester company (10 years old), seeking a freelance expert osCommerce "guru" with significant, proven experience and rock-solid references from a good number of established and preferably client companies.
We are looking for someone to work on a project-by-project basis as we grow and evolve our site (www.skoobadesign.com). We have a long and ongoing site wish-list... the work ranges from day-to-day tweaks and fixes, to osC module implementation, to customizing front/back-end functionality within the osC environment. Again, this is freelance work on an as-needed basis, and can be done off-site. We prefer to work on a project quote basis, but are open to hourly work or other arrangements. We are very easy to deal with and have the best reputation in our business for friendliness, integrity and solid business ethics and practices.
Because we get a huge number of responses whenever we post to Craigslist, we ask the courtesy that you *please* follow these instructions carefully if you wish to be considered:
1. Above all, as requested at the top of the post, please don't respond unless you are an absolute expert specifically in the osCommerce environment. We can't stress this enough, as in the past we have received many responses from web development companies, HTML/Flash coders, etc., and this is not what we are looking for. Out of respect for your time and ours, please respect this request.
3. Please send introductory e-mail and detailed resume, along with any work samples/links you feel are relevant, to the craigslist link provided.
2. Please be sure to provide substantial, quality references, and your permission to contact them if we are seriously considering you. We ask your understanding in not calling us directly--not because we are rude (we're definitely not)--but because we simply can't handle the volume of calls, and must narrow down the application list to the top candidates based on the e-mailed submissions before scheduling initial phone interviews. This is very important and we truly appreciate your cooperation.
3. If you already have an established hourly work rate or any other compensation requirements, please provide any and all details.
If you follow all of the requests above and your resume/experience and references are appropriate for further consideration, we will absolutely contact you promptly and courteously, and schedule an initial, informal phone discussion, then see where it leads from there. Again, please do understand that due to the expected number of replies and our limited (and very busy) staff, we can only reply to complete responses and those applications we feel are the most likely fit.
