N.Y.L.A. Entertainment Group is seeking a freelance publicist for its entertainment marketing & public relations firm.

Note: Please read listing in its entirety. In order to be considered for the position, you must follow exact submission instructions.

Freelance description:

* Aggressive media pitching to secure print/online media placement
* Must have established media contacts, particularly in hip hop/urban media
* Must be proficient in pitching & writing pitch emails/letters
* Must have proven, verifiable track record
* Maintain reports of project progress
* Note: freelancer will not be required to write press releases or create media kits or bios. Your sole responsibility will be to secure media coverage/interviews


Ideal freelancers will:

* Be very aggressive, confident, detail oriented, persuasive, & an excellent communicator
* Work well independently; must be very reliable
* Be a creative & dynamic writer
* Be very professional & follow appropriate industry protocal
* Have previous experience securing media for artists & record labels
* Have available writing samples, clippings, etc
* Have a huge interest & passion for urban/hip hop music

* Submit clippings, writing samples (i.e, press releases, bios, pitch letters, press kits, & any other relevant samples that will showcase your abilities as a publicist)
* Submit names of media sources (publication name) which you have secured stories or written for and for which you have previous established relationships with the editors, writers, and/or music editors
* Note: All information submitted will be verified against your sources


Freelancer will be considered an independent contractor & be paid per interview/article secured. Therefore, it is very important to be proficient in securing media since you will only be paid for secured coverage.
