Freelance Technical Writer
BuzzBee is seeking a technical writer for an upcoming project with our client, a local Fortune 100 software company.
The Technical Writer position is needed to write various technical content. The right candidate be a self-directed, confident writer and possess the appropriate technical background to explain different software applications to developers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The technical writer will be responsible for writing technical content that may include Software Development Kits, Whitepapers, and Release Notes targeted towards IT Professionals and product developers. Also, the technical writer will be responsible for interviewing subject matter experts and delivering drafts of work on time.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• 3 or more years of experience of writing technical content
• Strong writing and editing experience—can evaluate messaging consistency and create content that is aligned with messaging and audiences
• Resourcefulness—needs to be self-managing/independent, know when to ask for help, and able to find information on websites, from clients, etc.
• Ability to build relationships and maintain trust
