Remote Stealth Startup: UI/UX Designer-Developer

We're a seed-funded stealth startup seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer/Front-End Developer to create a stellar user experience for our web application. You will be part of a small virtual team bringing new technologies to an established/profitable market. Your main responsibility will be creating an enjoyable and intuitive user experience for our feature-packed app. Your ideas about workflow and interaction design will help drive the success of our beta launch and beyond. You Will: --Prototype layouts for the front-end and admin portions of our app --Translate your designs into standards-based XHTML/CSS/JS --Use jQuery to streamline user-experience --Handcode clean, beautiful and maintainable JS --Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility --Maintain your code in Github --Test and improve your ideas constantly You'll Need: --3+ years experience in UI design and front-end development --A keen eye for color, typography, graphic design, illustration --The ability to translate complex interactions into clean, minimal designs --The ability to integrate UI design skills with technical development --Experience with jQuery or leading javascript frameworks --Total comfort with fast-paced iterative design/development --The ability to consistently deliver within a virtual team --Determination, independence, and self-discipline --Strong written and verbal communication skills Pluses: --PHP experience --Virtual team experience --Knowledge of SEO best-practicesJob Perks: This is a 3- to 4-month contract job that could evolve into a full-time position.
